Bargello Embroidery Table Runner by Sweet Pea
Join us for a fun day creating the in the hoop embroidered bargello runner by Sweet Pea Designs. The technique creates an optical illusion of movement and depth. The method is used to create the traditional flame stitch look as well as a diamond burst, but you could also use it for pixel art.
The instructions show you how to make a runner using a paper-pieced technique with a particular layout, but you could change the layout (3 examples are provided) or turn it into various other projects like bags, placemats, cushions, etc...
The design is made in the hoop then finished on a regular sewing machine. The full sewing pattern for the completed runner are included.
You will need to bring your own embroidery machine or we do have a limited amount of rental machines.
