Borders & Bindings... I swear they should be easier!

You asked for it so we're going to do it!...Again!!  Look, I know I get on a soapbox about how people really don't realize how to properly add borders, but I promise you, most people don't realize what a difference it can make in your final results. Borders are rarely the size they say they should be on the pattern.  They may be close, but to get truly great results, you need to know how to do it correctly.  And sew we shall. We will provide a panel and borders for you to take home and practice your new found skill. You and your long armer, and that may be you, will love how flat and square your quilt top will load and finish with borders that are sewn correctly. And then!!!  It's time for binding. There are so many ways to place binding on your quilt. There are also some neat new ideas that we will share and test.  Techniques will indeed include the flange binding as pictured but will also demonstrate a couple of different feet for your machine that people have integrated into their process. It can make for a quicker, more professional  finish.  Quilted squares and binding strips will be provided so everyone can take a stab at practicing these techniques and tips during class time.
