Long Arm Certification
Have you ever looked at a long arm and thought...that looks like fun, then this is the class for you. We will show you:
* how to load your back, your batting, and a quilt top;
* parts of the machine;
* different stitch lengths;
* how to advance your quilt
* Free motion vs panto-graph vs Pantovision.
Once you have completed this class you will be eligible to rent either of our long arms and quilt your quilt tops (or if you are a By Annie bag enthusiast your bag sandwiches.) You will learn on an Innova M20 and a Babylock Regalia and get a feel for free motion quilting.
You do not need to be a quilter to take this class, just want to learn how to use a long arm. The day of your class you will need to bring:
* A quilt top no bigger than 40 x 40, we want you to successfully complete it in about 2 hours. Should be pressed and threads clipped. A pre printed panel also works great. You should also consider a table runner or topper that may be enhanced if you added quilting stitches. * A back and batting ready to load that is at least 4 inches all the way around bigger than your quilt top. Batting can be purchased the day of your class if needed. We have 100% cotton, 80/20 cotton/poly blend or wool available by the foot.
Please be aware that you will be standing for the class.
