Is It Really a Sweatshirt?

Turn 2 sweatshirts into a beautiful long more "fitted" jacket. complete with beautiful background stitches made to give it texture and class.  Cindie leads you on a journey that will have friends and strangers alike asking, "Where did you get that jacket?"  This is a two session class that will find you combining 2 sweatshirts into one longer one and eliminating some of the excess to construct a longer more elegant jacket than the sweatshirt jackets of old.  Finish it off with beautiful background stitches and textures that you choose.  You will be notified a minimum of 48 hours in advance to confirm class supplies and threads needed.  Cost of class includes 2 black sweatshirts to begin the process and access to the "stash" though you are encouraged to find a favorite panel or print and begin the applique process from there.

Please bring a rotary cutter, tape measure and scissors. Black sweatshirts will be provided. You will need 1.5-2 yards of fabric and coordinating thread. The number of coordinating fabrics is a personal choice.
The agenda for the first class is the deconstruction of the sweatshirt and the layout. The second class will include quilting, fitting and reconstruction.
